How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Prior to receiving the cash transfers, I was asked at what time of the day was I happy. I could not respond correctly because at that time I was working under someone else. However, I can now sincerely say that, I am the happiest because the cash transfers uplifted my living standards. I started up a mobile money business that earns me enough income that supports the family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well to support people without requesting for bribes in return. More so, they actually support the poor and needy. I also like the fact that they do not get involved in rumour mongering with in the village. However, they need to explore their enrollment criteria and enroll all the people especially those recipients who were skipped during enrollment process.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the second cash transfer to purchase household items worth UGX 200000 and UGX was spent on processing a mobile money agent line business.
