How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have a new goal of starting a business to improve my income. My goal is to buy a motorcycle for transport business. I carve canoe for living. But my earning from the carving of canoe cannot sustain my family and I. I have six living children but three live here in Tabay town with me. Providing meal everyday for them is a challenge. So, I have decided to keep this my recent transfer and add it to the last one to buy a motorcycle for transport business.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well for me. Without GiveDirectly, I could not have even think of buying a motorbike for myself. Giving us unconditional cash directly is something that GD is doing well. Because we could not have achieved things on our own that we have for ourselves today without receiving such an amount. So I am very grateful to GiveDirectly for being here for us. GiveDirectly means everything to us. Since my encountered with this organisation, I have not seen anything done unwell.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have saved my third transfer to add it to the last one to buy motorcycle for transport business. It has been my plan to find ways of improving my income. Because I have six living children to take care of and providing for them is very challenging for me. This is why I want to buy a motorcycle to do business with it. I believe this will help improve my income financially.
