What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have spent my second transfer on buying land for Agriculture worth UGX 1,000,000, saving worth UGX 500,000, food worth UGX 30,000 and cleared debt worth UGX 100,000.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirrctly has changed by enabling me to acquire land for my children to use in future. I have also started to build permanent house. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong .
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has improved because I have got more household goods like utensils, clothing and curtains which have beautified my house. Before, I had few goods like clothes which were torn. In addition, I can also have three meals in a day as opposed to when I could hardly afford a meal.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I decided to build a house with my first transfer (UGX 1400000) because I have been sleeping in ramshackle house and there is fear anytime it could collapse. When I received my transfer I and my spouse started buying construction materials and building began. I'm waiting for the second transfer and we complete it. I also bought house household items at ugx 100000 and used ugx 200000 for buying food in the house.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
First of all I heard people shouting, celebrating and ululating in the village and since I don't know how to operate the phone, I told my spouse to check mobile money balance in the phone and indeed there was money. I felt so happy, I danced and thanked God almighty for bringing Give Directly to my household. We began planning to construct a house for safety since our house can collapse at anytime and I told my spouse to go collect the transfer.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I feel so happy because each time I set my eyes on the house my heart is filled with joy. We also feed well since there's money to buy food and so is with the clothing and therefore we are looking good compared to the time before benefiting from Give Directly.
