How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
The difference in my life in the last four months is that my children are not always sent home. Due to my low income from my small charcoal business, I was not able to pay my children's fees arrears in time. This is because I had other needs to meet in the family and the income was not enough. Since I started receiving these transfers, I have been able to pay their arrears on a monthly basis which has been very helpful in reducing the balance they have in school. Right now if they have to be sent home, the teachers have to call me and inform about the same unlike before the transfers when they would be sent home anyhow.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to buy a cow as a remembrance of GD and investment for my family. I would want to have an asset which can bail out whenever I have a financial crisis. I know the best asset to have in my area is livestock hence I have decided to buy a cow.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In the past, I struggled to raise money to meet all my family needs. This is because I only depended on a small income from my small charcoal business. The income was not enough to even meet all the needs. In most cases, I ended up having so many debts just to meet my family needs. My life was not moving in the right direction and I felt I was really struggling. Since I started receiving these transfers, I have been able to pay all my debts, boost my business which has increased my income through the improved profits. I feel life is much better courtesy of GD transfers.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will be having a cow in my home. I plan to save part of my monthly transfers to use in buying a cow which is a very good investment and needs very little resources to take care of. This is a sign of wealth and I know I will not struggle anymore.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is different than it was before because I am always assured of a monthly income. This has helped me to always pay school fees on time. As a result, I have built a good cordial relationship with the teachers since they always know that I always pay fees every month. In the past, I was inconsistent in paying school fees for my children owing to the fact that I had no reliable source of income.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, my new goal is to start up a clay works business from which I shall be able to generate additional income. This will diversify my sources of income hence I shall be in a position to comfortably support my household through paying school fee and acquiring food for my children.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In the last four months preceding my current transfer, the biggest difference in my life is the ease of paying school fees for my children. In the past, raising school fees was very hard. I am the breadwinner and I had to engage in casual jobs in order to fend for my family as well as raising school fees for my children. However, my wages were always low thus insufficient to support my family comfortably.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, once my clay works business picks up well, I expect my lifestyle to positively change. I shall be able to raise more income from my clay works business thus be able to support my family comfortably. This will give me confidence that even when the transfers will be over, I shall continue to live an independent life unlike before when I was fully depending on casual jobs.
