Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy when I received the money because I knew that I'd buy some of the things that I was lacking in my home
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My life has changed dramatically because I was sleeping in a grass thatched house and when rains come it was leaking but now that I have an iron roofed house I don't have to worry about that anymore
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought iron sheets and roofed my house with part of the money and also managed to buy food for the family plus a few clothes for myself and my children

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means alot for me and my household as it will enable me purchase enough food for my household since I did not harvest enough food during the last harvest season due to lack of money for fertilizer for my maize garden which affected my maize yields resulting in hunger
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest whenever I can afford to have at least two meals a day to feed my six children as I struggle alot to find food to feed my household
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have six children and my husband left me some years ago for another woman. Now I have to look after my six children all alone. This is a huge responsibility which I am failing to manage as I do not have a stable source of income as I rely on casual labour which does not even fetch enough money to allow me feed and provide for my household
