How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No, my previous planned of going to college. But want to do a business and save more money to pay my tuition. I will eave the business in care of my mom when I'm in school. I check on her anytime she needs my assistant.

She has done great things for me and my family. I was thinking about going to college since I graduated from high school. But I never had the opportunity of going to school. Through the help of GiveDirectly, I have realized to go to college as a young man.

Givedirectly has done extremely well for me. I am a high School graduate and never had the means of going back to school. Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was in my bedroom when i received the text and i was happy and excited because the GD people kept their promise. I needed money to add to my business so the text had me so happy. This money is my turning point because i can sell more things and be able to do things for myself.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I receive this cash transfer, I will establish a business which will enable earn an income to support my family. It will also enable me to pay the tuition of my children because it is really a burden for me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I have always had the desire to enroll in an institution of higher studies since my graduation from high school, but I have not been able to do so because I do not have the funds. Four months ago, a relative of mine gave me a call and promised to take care of my University education. This brought so much joy to me because I believed that my dream of achieving higher education had finally come true.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Since the completion of my high school education, I have not been able to enroll in an institution of higher studies because I do not have the funds to do so. I have been burning and selling coal to acquire the funds, but I have not been able to reach my goal because the money needed for my studies is very huge. I have spoken with some relatives to help me in this direction but none of them have helped me.
