How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been because I am about to complete building an iron sheet roofed house and this makes me very happy. My health is looking better since I can afford medical cost which was very difficult before.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well to support my life by giving money to build an iron sheet roofed house, buy household items like utensils, buy food for the family which I would not have without such an amount of money; and there's nothing it hasn't done well in my opinion.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
My second transfer was spent to buy building materials such as bricks, sand, cement, iron sheets, windows, and household items like utensils, curtains, bed sheets, food.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I have improved my standards of living compared to the previous life I lived. I have bought so many household items that I lucked in my household. I have also bought building materials and I'm waiting for the second transfer to start its work and I will soon say good bye to grass thatched house.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt too happy the moment I saw mobile money notification from Give Directly and I thanked the Donors and GD team for helping me. The reason as to why I thanked donors is that they have me helped me a lot because I did not think or imagine that I could build a house on my own.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I sleep in grass thatched house which is not in a good condition and I'm so worried that when the rains return it will start leaking. A moment I received my first transfer, I decided to buy building materials like Bricks, Iron sheets and Sand that took ugx 1200000 and when I receive my last transfer I will kick start house construction. I also sought medical treatment which I spent ugx 50000, I as well purchased household items namely, curtains, bed sheets, Utensils and feeding which in total took ugx 450000.
