How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have planned to buy land and build house for my children. Having a place to sleep had been difficult for my family. Upon receiving the money, I have bought land.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly had done well for me, the money I received enable me to own property as a woman and house to live in while they are in school which was not the case before, I was paying rent at the same sending my children to which was very difficult.GiveDirectly has done so much well. They have not done anything wrong. Thanks to GiveDirectly for the opportunity.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"Four of my children currently reside in the capital city seeking higher education. I pay rent monthly for where they live which is very costly, to reduce the financial burden, I bought a peace of land nine years ago to build a house. However, I have been unable to fulfill this because of lack of finances. Therefore, upon receiving this cash, I will definitely build a house on that plot of land for my children to relief me of my burden".
What is the happiest part of your day?
"For almost two years I was severely ill. I visited lots of hospital for treatment but the actual illness could not be diagnosed. My elder sister then took me to the city to a medical facility where I was treated for three weeks and I later recovered. That was my greatest joy in recent times".
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"Since my contract expired three years ago, I have been faced with lots of financial challenges. I have a parcel of land in the capital that I intended building a house on for my children but I'm yet to do so. The house I live in now is yet to be completed because of the same reason. I therefore, I'm excited because I believe that the intervention of Give Directly will definitely put me back on my feet."
