What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
I have a family of two members. My husband and I do teaching as a profession but I also do poultry farming. Farming has been my passion since when I was young. Currently I have 60 chicken, 22 ducks and 28 guinea fowls. The challenge is lack of a well established structure. Sometimes they fall under thieves hands. I will use $800 to build a modern structure and add more poultry. I will also use $200 to buy their feeds. This project will bring happiness to me once the structure is fully equipped.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I used to take my chicken eggs for hatching at Mwarandinda at a cost. In November last year I bought my own incubator that has the capacity to hatch 1000 eggs per one session. This machine has reduced the cost and I have also helped the community from going far distances looking for such services.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I do poultry farming on a large scale . However, the challenge is the feeds and their structure. Most of the time they have been missing due to theft in the village. My desire is to have a good structure that can accommodate all the poultry for security purposes.
