How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I was so happy when I received my transfer. No! I have no new goals. I have always been praying tk seey children becoming future leaders. I also wanted to build a new house. I have not been able to do this due to lack of money. I am a farmer. I sell the produce from my farm and use the money for our upkeep. It is not much. I could hardly afford my children tuition. The roof my house leaks during the rainy season.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Some of us never had the upper hand to achieve our goals. I am so grateful for this opportunity. This is my first time seeing that kind of money. GiveDirectly done nothing wrong. They are assisting us in reducing poverty in our country. That is so awesome. I appreciate the good it is doing.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was overjoyed when I received my payment. I usdd some to buy zinc. I also paid contractors to change the roof of my house. I used rest of my money to pay my children tuition and other fees.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am a farmer. I take produce from my farm to local markets to sell for little amount. With the economy in our country now a days, customers hardly buy the goods.Things have been a bit difficult. My goal has always been to build a new house. I have not been able to do that because of insufficient funds. I was so happy when I received my transfer. I am so grateful that I got enrolled in the GiveDirectly cash program. My dreams will come to pass.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly is not doing anything unwell. It is giving us unlimited cash and asking for nothing in return. That is awesome. With the GiveDirectly cash program our lives are improving for the better. We are so thankful for this amazing opportunity. Hopefully, after receiving all of the transfers our lives will never be the same again.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My plan if I receive my cash transfer is to invest it into my education because I am a junior student drop out due to lack of financial support. I will also use portion of my transfer to build a structure for my family and I because my uncle and his family has been the one accommodating us.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months what brought happiness to me was the news of GD coming into our village to work because I have been hearing about GD work in other counties. I have been praying for GD to come to us too because I knew if GD work here there will be great improvements in the life's of us all living in this village as far as the county.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My greatest challenge right now is that I do not have money to even buy food for me and my family to feed on and I have to either cut plams or make farm before we can survive and this is making me to worry day by day. Because I am no more getting younger, I want to go to school and be better person in future for me, my family and the National at large.
