What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Receiving this money will enable me to purchase some livestock, lease land and plant some foodstuff so that I can address my food challenges. I am now old and therefore the transfers will enable me to live a healthy lifestyle. I am grateful for considering me in this program
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, we have had adequate rainfall in our area. As a result, my children were able to farm maize in their farm and had a number harvest. My greatest joy was when I was given maize by my children. This means that I can get food for myself.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
In my old age, I am not able to fend for myself and have to rely on other people to provide for me. As a result, I sometimes sleep hungry when I don't find any help. This really makes me sad. I am however grateful because my children provide for me despite the hard economic times they are also facing.
