What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent 500,000ugx on construting a new house because the state of the house I used stay was dilapidated. Due the lack of food in our family, we spent 200,000ugx on buying food. I hired the garden where I intend to plant groundnuts at 150,000ugx. I bought households items at 110,000ugx, beddings at 32,000ugx and new clothes costed me 50,000ugx. I also intend to spend the balance of the money for finishing the house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my Opinion, Give directly has done well in empowering the poor people in the community. This empowerment has come through enabling us to purchase things like livestock that we didn't have.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is now different in that formerly I used to be stressed over the overwhelming needs that even forced me into loans of which loans also brought a lot of stress in my life. I have also longed to build for myself a permanent house for long but didn't have he capacity to do so but now with the Gd transfer I was able to do so.

I spent 405000ugx on iron sheets; 780000ugx on bricks; cement 100000ugx; 150000ugx on debt clearance; households; beddings and clothes 250000ugx and the balance on food.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
My heart was filled with too much Joy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
In the past I wasn't able to build a house for myself but now givedirectly had given me money to buy materials to construct my own house.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i am faced with is sickness. I am a very sickly person and yet getting treatment is expensive. Sometimes if i do not have money, i am forced to borrow from people and then pay later after i have got treament and can work to get money. I can not save anything since whatever little i get is spent on medical bills.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when i have received pay for a day's work.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means i will be able to build an iron roofed house, buy a goat that can multiply so that even when i fall sick, i can sell and get money for tratment.
