What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on paying school fee for my son who had very huge school fee arrears. Besides that, I purchased building materials and added to the ones I had purchased before and constructed a house.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed than it would have been if I never received any transfer since my house which had taken me 5 years to collect its materials, was finally built within a span of one month. I am so proud of that for I could have not achieved it.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done so well in sending us direct cash transfer to individuals without any conditions attached.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent most of my second transfer to pay school fees for grandchild who is an orphan and in high school. I also bought bricks, sand and ballast which I intend to use in building my new house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that my orphaned grandchild whom I never thought could go to school is currently in school and has not been sent home for school since I started receiving the transfers and this has made my daily life joyfull

I spent my first transfer on paying school fees for my two children and I also spent part of the remaining transfer on farming

I felt very happy when I received the money because it gave me hope of being able to afford to pay school fees for my two children and it also gave me hope of doing farming that season

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have is getting school fees for the children I take care of.I have a big family still schooling and I face a challenge educating them.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I plan to spend this transfer to repair my house.It is old and getting good soil for repairing it once has been expensive. I also plan to pay for my son school fees.He just finished his primary education and will join secondary school next year but I do not have money yet.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
Buying sheep for rearing at home is an achievement I'm proudest of.Years back I did farming and had good produce that I used in buying the sheep that I still keep.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest time of my day is in the morning.This is because I have a new day ahead of me.
