How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have been in dire need of finances to pay my son tuition for this academic year. Moreover, my house is falling apart and needs to be renovated. Thus, when I received my transfer, I bought 2 bundles of zinc to roof my house. I also used a huge portion of my transfer to pay my son yearly tuition. Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
During the early morning hours at about 7:15am, I heard some of the town people shouting and jubilating that they have received transfer from GiveDirectly. I quickly ran in search of network to check my phone. Suddenly, I realized that I had received my transfer as promised by GiveDirectly. I became very excited knowing that I could fulfil one of my greatest desires (building a house).
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My plan was to build my own house but I could not achieve my dreams due to low income. However, GiveDirectly visited my home and intervened through their unique cash transfers. Being able to initiate my house project through GD's financial assistance has been the biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving transfer from GiveDirectly.

When I received my transfer from GiveDirectly, I bought 2 bundles of zinc ($21,000LD). Moreover, I bought one carton of zinc nails and 1 carton of mixed nails for roofing purposes. The remaining portion of my transfer was used to purchase gasoline. The gas will be used to saw plank for my new house. I am grateful to the entire team at GD for making my life better.

What is the happiest part of your day?
Though our harvest did not come out well but other community dwellers helped us with some rice for our upkeep that made us happied
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Our challenges centered around the lack of needed cash to sustsain the family adequately. Our source of income is the sale of some of our farm produce which is not enough. The farming season was not good. The harvest was poor. Our house is old and leaking. We surfer a lot during the reason.
