RE " I spend the most of my recent transfer on brushing my farm.
I want to plant coco, plantains and cassava, because after givedirectly has left my community i need to maintain my children in school.

RE " Givedirectly is doing well with the kind of help they are giving us.
It is the first time in my lifetime for someone to give me such support.

RE " I hope to establish myself in other to maintain my children in school, because givedirectly is not going to be giving us cash forever.
But with this farm especially the coco which is my main focus, it will carry me and my household a very long way".

I used my first transfer to invest into agricultural farming, because this is what I am into. I used my recent transfer to pay workmanship to people who brush my Cocoa Farm.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life now is that I am no longer working harder than I used to do before because I am using the money that I am receiving to pay daily hires to brush my Cocoa Farm.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I received my first transfer I was happy because this is my first time to received such amount of money as a gift from any organizations, so I am very happy.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
" The challenges I face are my house is leaking badly and I don't have money to pay my children school fees. I don't have any other means of support apart from the farm".
What is the happiest part of your day?
"I have not had any happy moment in the past six months because I am not able to fully pay my children school fees and renovate my house".
What does receiving this money mean to you?
" I have six children and all of them are going to school, and Paying their school fees is not an easy task. I am a farmer but the proceeds I get from the farm is not enough to pay all of them school fees. For that reason all of my children are attending the government school. When I receive the transfer from GiveDirectly, I will use a portion of it to pay my children school fees and the remaining will be use to build another house".
