How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed in that, I sleep in house with plastered walls and cemented floor. Previously, I was weary of smearing dung on the floor which used to be very dusty. In addition, the walls were not plastered which didn't give the house a beautiful look.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly according to me has done well by giving me the cash transfers I used for renovating my house. On the other hand, there is nothing bad that GiveDirectly has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my second transfer to buy cement and household goods such as utensils, clothes and beddings. I gave my spouse to use Ugx 500000 of the transfer to spend on his personal needs.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money will mean I will sleep in a better house free from dust. I sleep in a house that is not complete with a lot of dust. It will also mean that I will boost my business of selling alcohol with part of the money which will continue supporting even after GiveDirectly has left our community.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiestoment is after eating lunch. It's challenging to find food for the family. Once I have had lunch, I am happy because, even if my family does not eat super, at least we would have had a meal in a day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest challenge that I face is inadequate land for crop cultivation. I hire land every year to enable me and my household cultivate crops both for sale and hoisehod consumption which is not sustainable for me.
