How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
There are some who did not receive these transfers and they are sad. If I did not receive my life would have been very difficult and I would have been very sad.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
They worked well because they did not favour in their selection of recipients. Everyone who received a phone from GiveDirectly received the money as well. It was good that the organisation reached out to everyone on their own without using a third party.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I am grateful to GiveDirectly because I did not have a good house. The house I live in has a bad roof but now I have bought iron sheets and timber so that I should fix the roof of my house. I also bought two blankets and a matress so that I should sleep on a comfortable place.
