What does receiving this money mean to you?
" When I get the money, will make business, I will be able to pay my children school fees continuously when I am making business. When God gives me the opportunity, I will go to trade school, I want to learn how to sow clothes. If I can sow well, my children and I can survive by that trade because not all the time I will depend on aid from people."
What is the happiest part of your day?
" The only thing that have made me happy is all my children promoted in their schools. I was happy because my money I spend didn't go vein. Another thing that making me happy is someone (another man) is in my life to help me since my husband died.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
" The major challenge is food (rice) business, We can make rice farm but because the soil here is not rich for rice production, our harvest is low. So we depend on imported rice from monrovia. In order to buy the rice, we have to make cassava farm or burn fire coal to sell and use the earnings to buy the rice. Another challenge is my children school fees business and school materials, I have five children, since their father passed away, I am the only one taking care of them. Where we used to buy fish on the beach, those buyers from Monrovia have made it difficult because they can buy the fish at higher prices, because of that, our customers preferred selling their fish to buyers from Monrovia and this situation is making us go out of business."
