How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My plan is to improved my leaking roof on my house, I never had money to accomplish my plan, but when givedirectly started giving me money I decided to improved my house. I'm so happy that I was enrolled on this. My life has changed for the better, Now I have money to buy cement and plaster my house and change my thatched roofs to iron sheets roof.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly has done very well in my life and that of our village, givedirectly was able to enrolled our entire village. With the support from givedirectly there are so many new houses with in my village. In my opinion there's nothing that givedirectly hasn't done well. Givedirectly was able to give me money to registered my children in school.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When I received my transfer I was able to buy 2 bundle of iron sheets that cost 24,000LD to improved my building. I also bought enough food for my family to eat. I'm so happy that I was enrolled on this program. My life has changed for the better. Many thanks to Givedirectly for their support.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
When I received my transfer I felt very happy, and I decided to build my little kitchen in my village. But I never had the support to accomplish my plan. My income was very low back than. I had to sale the whole day just to get money to support my family. Now my new goals is to improved my leaking roof on my old building. I am thankful to Givedirectly for their support.

Givedirectly did very well in my life and that of our village givedirectly has changed our entire village with so many new houses. Givedirectly has changed my life for the better. Through givedirectly I was able to paid my children school fees. There's nothing that givedirectly hasn't done well. GiveDirectly has done everything well.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was one afternoon when we came from the farm, my neighbor went to the network area with her phone while I was resting under this kitchen we are sitting now. After a while, I heard her shouting my money has been sent to my phone. Right away I took my phone there (the network area) to see if mine has already been sent. By the time I had reached to the network spot, I received an alert from the GSM company reading, you have received forty thousand three hundred seventy five Liberian Dollars ($40,375:00) from GiveDirectly.
I ran back to the house with dancing and singing. My family asked what the dancing and singing is all about? All I could tell them GiveDirectly, GiveDirectly has done it by sending the money that they told us we were going to receive.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life since I received this payment from GiveDirectly is that, I can now sleep without worrying where to get money from to change my roof. Moreover, I feel respected in my home now compared to the time before recieving payments from GiveDirectly.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My plan is to used some of the money to build my kitchen and add up the little business I'm doing. I'm a farmer but due to the old age, I'm unable to do hard work however, I started a little business inorder to feed and sent my grandchildren to school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months it was this month that brought joy to my life, all of my grandchildren were promoted to the next class and I'm praying for them to make it and graduate so that they can start taking care of me, because I'm really getting old.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I'm faced with is, I don't have anyone to do my farm work due to the lack of money. If there was money I could have had a very big farm at this time. The idea is there but no money to make it work.
