Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I recieved this money I was overjoyed. I told my children that Givedirectly had given us money. The agents in my area did not have this much money at hand I therefore had to walk for about an hour in order to withdraw my money. I sent my children to go find a builder so that he would start to fix my fallen house as soon as I got the money. We lost food and utensils when the house fell, this money was such a ray of hope. Once I returned from collecting the transfer, the builder began his work which was very successful and all is now in order in my house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My life has changed so much. I am living well now. I suspected that Givedirectly staff were lying to us when they came to tell us that we would recieve money. Some people lie to us, government sometimes lies to us, they take our names and then they are a no show. But Givedirectly has really stayed true to theor word. I am sleeping on a good and secure place, I have been able to replace my house utensils and I am eatimg well. My life is really good now because of this money.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used this money to buy cement, bricks amd pay labourers to fix my house. When my house, my family and I lost food, clothing and our house utensils were badly damaged. Once I collected this transfer I was able to buy food and other much needed items in my house. I was really able to improve my living situation just because of the money. I sought shelter with my sistwr where space was very tight. Now I am happily back in my own home.

Nothing has really made me happy in the last six months
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
We do not have cooking materials, no proper shelter and we are struggling to find food to sustain our everyday life.
