Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I came from bed in the morning and heard my neighbour shouting that he has received his first transfer from Give Directly. I immediately went and checked my phone and also saw that my money was in my phone. I was overwhelmed. I thought of building a new and decent house with zinc.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My family and i are currently living in a thatched and small house as well. Besides, i couldn't afford to pay my kids school fees. But with the help of Give Directly cash transfer, i have settled my kids school issue and also started my house project. I am so happy now, all appreciation to Give Directly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent portion of my money to buy 1000 brakes which caused 66.60USD. Also used 66.60 USD on our two kids school fees. Keeping the balance money to add it to the next transfer for zinc. Because we are presently living in a thatched house so i have decided to build a better house. I will be building 3 rooms with a shop house.
