Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I ha just woken up to start my day when I received the money. I immediately changed the day's programs and embarked on how to collect and plan to spend the money. It was the happiest day of my life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the happiness I got having improved my home and bought heifer. The biggest if them all is the motorbike that we bought for my husband. We used to spend money on a daily transport to take to work place. We spend less lately which had allowed home to do more and eran more. Family income has now increased thanks to GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent the money I received on the first transfer on buying a motorcycle. My husband is a veterinary practitioner. He covers long distances everyday to visit farms. He used to take a motorcycle taxi which is very expensive given that he travels everyday. We are so glad to have bought him his own. I then bought a heifer and chickens to keep. I also bought some furniture for the house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Buying a 1000 litre water tank at @$100, initiating a in poutry keeping project that will cost a total of $150 as well as buying a dairy cow for milking at $350 is what receiving this money means to me. The remaining part of my transfer will enable me to improve my house by cementing the walls, installing roof ceiling boards as well as tiles on the floor.
What is the happiest part of your day?
When my spouse exits home every morning for work, i always pray that he succeeds in getting a job that would earn him some income by the end of the day. It is always a sigh of relief every evening when he arrives home after a successful day, which makes this the happiest part of my day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My spouse who is a veterinary doctor is the sole bread winner of this family. However, his job is not reliable and does not pay well due to the remoteness of this place we live in. All he earns is fully spent on buying daily meals for the family. I have always wished to support him in providing for the family but lack of financial support has denied me a chance of starting up a poultry keeping business which has always been my wish
