Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
As you can see yourself i have seen more days, but through out my life there never been a time i got huge amount of money like what i have received from GiveDirectly. Hence i lived without hope that poverty would end in my household. Therefore the moment when i received my transfer i was very happy because it was first of it's kind in my life

Before i received the transfer life was really pathtetic. In my family food was a problem and some days could pass with less than three meals. In addition to that my house was in poor condition. Now there is a biggest difference because i have enough food and also my house is improved and i am living happily with my family

I spent part of the money on iron sheets and maize for food. I also saved part of the transfer to be used for building a house soon

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I will remove those grasses on my house roof and put ironsheets sheets, i will put cement on my floor, glass Windows in short i will finish up my house and i promise you my house will look beautiful it has been in my heart to finish up my house but i had no money so this money will mean alot to me as i will fulfill my wish.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Every time i have food i am happy
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Lack of money has been my biggest hardship as i am no longer strong than before i can no longer do piece of work i just depend on few that i harvest and from what my children send here and there.
