Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I had gone to work on my farm when I heard a loud noise from the town. I was afraid initially. But when I rush back to the town, I found a jubilant mood on faces in the town. I asked and was told that GiveDirectly has sent Transfer to all Recipients. I was so happy and right away joined the jubilation. I was happy because I lost my mother few months ago. I spent a lot of money. Things got so difficult after that due to the debts I had to pay. I knew with this money I could settle my debt and improve my life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The people I owed due to my mother's death were all on my back to pay their debt after some few weeks. I had nowhere to get that kind of money. I began afraid. Meanwhile, with my transfer that has changed! I have settled my debts. I was also able to buy some food and bundles of Zinc to start my house project. This is the biggest difference in my daily life right now. I feel so satisfied and God bless GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spend my all and even the last money I had during my mother's death. I had to credit from people to have my mother buried. When I received my transfer, I bought some Zinc and food for my family. I then paid back the debt that I owed people. My house is in a very bad condition. We have been suffering financially. I decided to improve the house due to how bad the condition is. I want to change the Zinc and Plaster the entire building to improve my living condition.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My plan for the money is to change my house roof and to pay my child school fees as she has dropped out of school because of lack of finance.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Despite all that has happened the passed months and weeks i am happy that I still have life and I am strong enough to hustle.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My mother has been seriously sick intermittently,I had to use up the money I had for hospital bills, after all of that she still passed and I used up my business money to sponsor part of the burial,at the result of that, I ran out of cash to pay my daughter's fees and she has dropped out of school for the semester.
