How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The cash transfers have changed my life in that they empowered me to purchase cows and household items like bedding, utensils, clothes that I had longed to own for a long time. I also helped my parents to clear their outstanding debts. However, I am now focussed on working hard so that I can find a wife to marry. Before I received the cash transfers, life was hard and I had nothing presentable in my house. I was always dressed in old tattered clothes. I am now happy because I can now walk confidently in nice decent clothes.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly to a large extent has empowered my community through the cash transfers. I can not think of anything wrong that GiveDirectly could have done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I purchased two cows with a large portion of my second transfer and the balance was spent on food and other household expenses.
