What did you spend your third transfer on?
I have two children in secondary school, so when I received my third transfer I sent the whole of it to pay for one of them school fees. I paid for the whole year. At the moment she does not owe the school any arrears and again she has not stayed out of school for lack of fees like it was the norm before. She has only stayed out when sick. Honestly this money has made me move a step in life, it has changed me.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to pay school fees for my son who joined secondary school. I spent half of the transfer to pay for his school fees. I used to panic where I will get the money to send him to school but I thank God GiveDirectly came to my aid. Using the remaining amount,I spent on repairing my house that was not so much in good condition.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Firstly, we plan to use part of the transfer to start our own salon for sustainability, because currently, I am working under someone. Secondly, we plan to use another part of the transfer to pay school fees for our daughter who is in secondary school in form two, and also another one, whom we expect to join secondary school next year. Lastly, we plan to use the remaining amount to buy a cow, that would provide us with milk for family use.

The happiest part of my day is in the afternoons, when I have customers in the salon with expectations that I would make some income for my family to eat.
