How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different because I was able to get back my three pieces of land that I will also freely cultivate on without interference hence cubbing the famine problem. Before, I had to cultivate on the remaining garden lands that were not fertile enough to give good yields and this in most cases led my family to famine in my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by bringing financial help that has enabled people in my community to develop the area. To me, it have me money that enabled me to visit the traditional doctor that helped me to stop some demonic attacks that were always threatening me. However, GiveDirectly has done nothing wrong as it is evident from the community.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent most of my second transfer to get back my three pieces of land that I had given out in exchange for money that I needed at the time to take my son to tertiary institution and arranging funeral rites for my grandmother. I used part of my transfer to visit traditional doctors to help me out with the situations of witchcraft that was sent to attack me. I paid off a debt to a brother in law who had lent me some money for treatmet.
