What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent most of my third transfer to buy a cow which will reproduce and provide my family with milk, I spent some amount to pay school fees for my child who is in high school. I bought second hand iron sheets and timer which I have used to build a kitchen since I was cooking in the main house and the remaining amount, I spent to buy a sack of maize for consumption, school uniform, shoes and food for my family.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If I could not have received the transfer, I would not have bought livestock which I have right now and also I would not have managed to pay school fees for my child, this has made me very happy. Thank you GD for the transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
in my opinion, GiveDirectly has brought development in our community and also it has uplifted the living standards of recipients in our community. I have not seen anything that GD did not do well.

I spent my transfer on paying for electricity 10000 KES,paid school fees 15000 KES, bought two goats 5000 KES, bought 1 bag of maize 4800 KES, bought utensils 2500 KES and used balance on daily meals.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference i have seen in my life now i own animals that i will be able to sell in future and get income and even my children are now in school not to worry about drop outs.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I plan to spend this transfer to enroll my son in secondary school.He finished his primary education but has stayed one year out of school because I did not have money for his schools fees.Secondly,I plan to buy some few cows and keep as a future investment and if part of the money remains,buy food that can feed my family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
Being able to build my house is a great achievement that I'm proud of. I had a small house that was almost falling,but I managed to keep savings from being a house help and built another house that is spacious and can house us long enough.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship I currently face is lack of food for my children.I used to do a small business of selling firewood but for months have been sick and fending food for my family has been so difficult.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest time of the day is when with my children.We story together and this prevents me from thinking of the problems I face.
