What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on payment of Hospital bill for my son (2,500 KES), bought or him school uniform and shoes to replace his torn ones (1,0000 KES), hired tractor services for ploughing since it is more efficient (3,000 KES) and also bought dry corn for consumption ( 3,500 KES).
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my money I felt energized because I could take care of a crisis immediately; It happens that my son had become very sick, the Public Hospital Doctors were on strike Country-wide and I had no choice but to seek services of a Private Doctor, as a result of which the bill accumulated much yet I had insufficient funds. Thank you very much for GD transfer, it saved me.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The most prominent difficulties that my household is facing with on a day to day basis, is getting money to feed ourselves since the whole season it has been very dry and we have not been able to farm.To make it worse, the casual labour that i normally partake have not also been available of late. One of my children also got sick very recently and raising money to take her to hospital to get better treatment also proved to be very difficult and I was forced to borrow from friends
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am mostly happy at night when I go to sleep because I know that yet another difficult day has managed to pass by and that both my family and I are alive and safe.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
It means growth and prosperity for me and my family.once I get it, my wife and I have already planned that we will engage in farming in large scale so that it can be a source of income for our livelihood rather than just feeding.we have also planned to use the money to build a much better house that will be presentable even when my in laws come to visit
