What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Recieving this money means a lot to me because i will be able to pay tuition for my 1 child who is at the university for 2 semesters at $973, I will also pay school fees for my 2 children who are in high school for 2 terms at $324. I will also use the part of of the money to buy 1 cow at $540 and this cow will give me approximately 5litres of milk for selling will earn me income of $2 per day and this money will help me to meet other basic needs of my family. The balance which is $35 will be used to buy food for my family which will cause a great impact in my life and family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last 6 months, what has brought me joy is when my third born son in the names of Bwayo Emma graduated on 9th, December 2022 with a bachelor's degree in information technology from Kyambogo University. I was very happy because it has been a hustle getting tuition for my son to complete his education, I had to get loans which am paying up to-date and am still happybecausethe son i spend on has completedhis education. The other thing that brings me joy is that all my children have not fallen sick to the level of admission as it used to be, when they where still young and because of that the money which was to pay for medical bills is now used to buy food for my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challanges am currently facing is the high bills of school for my 3 children who are still at school. 1 child joined University and the tuition is is $486 per semister, the other 2 children are in high school each paying $81 per term. It has become hard for me to fully pay the tuition/school fees for all my school going children and this is because i dont have a stable source income to meet the needs of the family in addition to school dues. The other challange is shortage of food for my family due to flash floods that have always destroyed my garden leading to poor yields which has on the long run led to famine.
