How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal is to build a house for my family and I. It has been my goal to construct a house of my own for a very long time. I live with my husband and 2 living children and we live in a one room house that is own by my cousin. This transfer will enable us to have a house of our own where my husband and I can have a separate room from our children's room.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GD has done well for us by giving money to us that we are able to fulfil our goal of building a house. It's a dream that we (my family and I) long yearn for. We could not have reach this far of buying house materials if it was not for GD reaching out to help through its cash transfer model. By this I am so pleased that GD is doing well to improve the lives of my household. Meanwhile, I am not aware of any unwell things that GD is doing.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have not cash out this my last transfer. But I intend to spend it on purchasing zinc, nails and other roofing materials for the construction of a new house. My family and I live in one room and the house is own by my cousin. I feel embarrasse everytime sleeping with my children in the same room. However, I feel very happy of getting on this GD's program which has shape my thinking of owning a house for my family and I.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I want to construct a new house for my family and I. The one we currently live in is too small and uncomfortable. I live with my husband and two living children. Our house roof is made of thatch that leaks everytime it rains. Imagine everytime when it rains my husband and I have to place buckets in the ceiling to prevent the rain from wetting our things. That's why I am saving this third transfer received to fill it out with the fourth transfer. So that I can have enough of money to construct a bigger and better house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done all the good by giving us money that we didn't work for. This is so surprising to me. I feel happy for GiveDirectly coming my way. All that I heard or seen about this organisation is well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Really, I am saving my most recent transfer till I can receive the fourth payment to add up to construct a new house. I will spend it on buying zinc, nails and planks to build a bigger and better house for my family and I. We live under a leaking thatch roof that embarrasse us whenever it rains. Since I have received this third transfer, I am saving it to add up with the fourth transfer to construct a new house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
For the past two years, l have been living in friends and relatives house. I have been faced with several challenges ranging from insults and abuse. I have really longed to have my own house to save me from such disgrace and rejection. With this money, i will be able to build the house that i so prayed for. It will ease the pains and shame my family have faced.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I sent two of my children to Monrovia to attend for the past years and i was told that they all had a successful pass in their academic works. This has really made me glad and over happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Over the years, i have been living in a single room with my family. I have not been able to shater strangers due to the room size. It has actually been serious embarrassment to me. Family and friends called me names. As a result, if opportune to receive this money, i will be able to solve this problem of homelessness by building my own house that will house strangers as well.
