What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my second transfers for purchasing 10 bags worth 320,000ugx and a door at 62,000ugx hence making the house habitable. 800,000ugx was lent to a neighbour in exchange for an acre of land which I will be cultivating until it's paid back. I spent 101,000ugx on a mattress and 40,000ugx on bed sheets I'm order to improve on my living conditions, while I used 45,000ugx for clothes. Since we had a motor cycle, 200,000ugx was spent on repairing a motor cycle and the balance of 85,000ugx will be used for buying planting materials in order to improve on food production.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly has given unconditiial cash transfers to all poor people in the community and on the other hand, Givedirectly needs to identify family needs that would have been created by the transfers and target them specifically.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I now have a better house hence better living conditions. I used to sleep in a grass thactched house which was leaking but now I have an iron roofed house.
