How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
This transfer have greatly changed my life in that, I have more land for agriculture. This has been possible through the loan that I paid off and made me repossess the acre of land I given as collateral and the two acres of land I have received as collateral for the money I loaned out. Previously, I didn't have enough land for agriculture and this affected the size of food I could have in my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
According to me, GiveDirectly has done me well by giving me the transfers that have settled a lot of my needs. There is absolutely nothing bad that GD has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have loaned out part of my second transfer and I have the benefit of cultivating on the two acres of land my debtor gave me as collateral till he settles me. In addition, I bought a sheep, a mattress and bed sheets.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is being able to get back my garden land that will help me have a bigger place to cultivate making me so happy and have a peace of mind. Prior to getting back this land, I just to hire farm land which was an inconvenience as the owner would want it back before i could even think of harvesting my produce.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
At night as I slept, I heard my phone message notification and on checking, it was from GiveDirectly indicating mobile money. At that moment, I felt so happy that I immediately started organizing on how to withdraw it and spend as planned.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my transfer Ugx 1000000 to get back my land that the clan members had earlier on given out in exchange of money to cater for my fathers funeral expenses.
I also spent Ugx 400000 to buy a bull. Then spent the last bit of Ugx 300000 to buy some house items such as a solar, bedding, clothes and food for my family.
