How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed a lot than it would have been if I never received the transfer in terms of standards of living because earlier life was so difficult. I have built house, I have bought household items and above all feeding was the biggest challenge I faced due lack of money to buy food.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly has done so well to help me with transfers that have enabled me construct a house because I never knew I could also built a house because the cost of constructing is to high and I can not manage it on my own. These transfers have also helped buy household items namely mattress, clothes, utensils and feeding. According to me Give Directly did so well because I received all my transfers as they promised me.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my transfer to construct a house because I have been sleeping In a grass thatched that was leaking due to lack of grass to maintain it. I bought construction materials like timbers, cement, door, Window and paid Labor which in total took Ugx 1065000. The remaining money UGX 568000 I used it for up keep buying food and other necessities at home
