How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I have owned a motorbike which generates income for the family. The motorbike brings UGX 10,000 to UGX 25,000 a day which supports me to buy food for the family and treatment for my children. In addition, the boost in my family's income has enabled me take my daughter to a private school. Before, I had a challenge of feeding the family and paying for my children's medical bills.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well to give me cash transfers that have enabled me buy a motorbike. According me, GiveDirectly is only a blessing to humanity.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent UGX 1,400,000 of my second transfer to complete payment of a motorbike. The motorbike is currently being used by my husband for business. I also started a retail shop at UGX 150,000 for my self and UGX 83,000 I used for treating children and buying food.
