What does receiving this money mean to you?
"I've been a care taker for the house I'm staying in for the past five years now. The owner of the house resides in the city and I'm always aware that he'll come whenever he chose to. Because, in rececent times, he's been visiting the neighborhood frequently. So, my very first transfer would be used to build a concrete house with zinc. Presently, I already have a land nearby from where I stay. This cash transfer news is just timely for me! It will speed up the process for me. I also intend to advance myself academically because I completed secondary since 2007 but due to financial constrains I've been unable to push forward."
What is the happiest part of your day?
"I was elected as the community youth president two years back. During that time, majority of my peers were not with me politically as it relates to my decisions and over all attitude. It went on for a very long time in this town but in recent times I have observed changes from my peers and neighbors toward me. I'm beginning to sense a friendly environment. For me, it's a great progress because we all get and put ideas together for the growth and betterment of the community. So, this particular time of my life is a happy moment for me and it gives me inner peace of mind. "
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"I have three major challenges that I've been struggling with for a very long time! First on my list is my education. Because of my low living standard and financial difficulties I've been unable to further my education since 2007 upon my secondary school completion. Secondly, I'm challenged with a place of my own that I can call home. I'm just a guidance for where I'm currently living and very soon the house owner will be taking over his property. Thirdly, I'm struggling with a serious health issue which I don't intend to disclose but, I will immediately use a huge portion of the cash transfer for the sugery."
