How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Firstly I so happy that I was enrolled on this program, because givedirectly has changed my living conditions to a better one. I am a farmer, because then I never had money support my family. Even the house we are living in was having leakage all over the roof. And it's just one room apartment me and my children was living in. But I am grateful to God for this opportunity. The money I received from givedirectly I am now building a three rooms apartment in my village. Many thanks to givedirectly for their support.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion givedirectly did very well in my life and that of my village. Givedirectly was able to enrolled almost the entire village that I am proud of today. There are so many New houses with in my village all from the support that givedirectly has given us.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When I withdraw my money I was able to buy three bundles of zinc with four steet to build my house. I bought one big mattress for my children. I also bought food for my family.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Many thanks to Givedirectly for their support. I am so happy that I was enrolled on this program. House business been my plan. I am living in my family house with my children. That why I decided to build my own house in my village with the support from givedirectly. My new goal is to extend my building with additional rooms.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was on my farm when my neighbour told me that he had received his transfer from GiveDirectly. I then checked my phone the next day, I saw my message too. I was very happy! My husband and I have four children and have been sustaining them through farming. We have been living in my uncle's house for the past eight years now. Building my house has been my major worries.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is relaxation. I am living in my uncle's house and about to build my own house through GiveDirectly financial assistance. I'm forever grateful to them.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My major priority is to build my house. Hence, I used my most recent transfer to purchase a bundle of zinc which cost $15,000 LD and food for my home.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"It is my hope that when I am selected by GiveDirectly to receive support from them, I will build my house. Currently, we are living in my family house which does not sound good and our privacy is also restricted"
What is the happiest part of your day?
"Since the past months, our thinking and worries has increased. Especially when we think about our children being out of school". But with God, at least the coming of GiveDirectly can reduce some hight level of the stress.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"Currently, our major challenge is our inability to provide for our children especially their education. There's no job, therefore, to get money especially this time of the year is very hard".
