How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Life is different because I have been able to buy new sofa sets which I have never owned in y entire life, all this was made possible with the cash that we have been getting from the organization.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have this kitchen structure that has a leaking roof which has given me a headache for long. I believe it is time for me to away with the roofing and replace it with a new one. I will buy new timber and iron sheets and see that this goal is realized sooner than later.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have been using the money to buy food for the family. Previously I used to do a lot of casual jobs which were consuming my time and energy,.. I no longer engage in excess casual labor with the same vigor because right now I have a source of income that keeps us going as a family.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I believe that my life will have changed because by then my daughter will have successfully completed her studies through the cahs transfers that I have been getting from the organization. I want to make sure that I support her financially as much as I can so as to make her be comfortable at school.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have been able to farm appropriately using modern technologies and hybrid seeds which gave me quite a good yield at the end of last season. Apart from that, I have also managed to buy a new set of the sofa-set which I never knew I could afford in life. I initially I used to have the old traditional seats which are quite uncomfortable to sit on.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have my four girls who sleep in a small structure which also doubles up as the kitchen area for the family. What I, therefore, need to do right now is to build a new big structure and divide it into two sections where one section will serve as the kitchen while the other section will act as the sleeping room for my girls.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
For me, I think I would say that the biggest difference is the fact that I no longer have to go and work for other people where I do the odd jobs and get some meager income which can barely help me and my family. It is so tiring and discouraging when you have to to do the odd jobs and at the end of the day, you get paid some very little amount.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Once I am done with the construction of the house, I will embark on the project of buying a cow which will act as a significant mark that GD left in my family. I know that the cow will definitely give birth in the future and out of that, I will be able to get more cash when I sell them out to prospective buyers.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Four months ago, I was not always at peace because I had a lot of worries on how I could provide adequate food for my household. Currently, I am able to provide sufficient food for my family because I do not have more financial commitment. My income and the transfers from GiveDirectly are relatively sufficient enough to take care of my family. Consequently, I am less stressed and I am always at peace.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, the goal that I am working on to accomplish is to buy and own a cow. For several years, I have been desiring to own at least a cow since my community treasure livestock as a symbol of wealth. Anyone who owns a cow in my community is always treated with a lot of dignity. In addition, a cow owner can be able to get milk and sell some to earn an additional income.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In the last four months preceding the current transfer, the biggest difference in my life is being able to provide sufficient food for my family with a lot of ease. I did not have to do hard labor because the transfers sent to me by GiveDirectly gave us a big relieve. I was, therefore, able to use my daily earnings to purchase a set of chairs which I could not own before. All through my life, I only had six old wooden chairs, a situation that could more often force me to ask for chairs from my neighbor whenever I had more visitors.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to save some good money for my daughter who will be enrolled for her end of primary school exams next year. From the savings, I will be able to pay her school fee next year without a big struggle. She is highly determined, and I expect the best from her. This can only be realized when she continues with her studies with minimal disruption.
