Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Honestly when I got the msg, I was very happy and I went to withdraw my money. Unfortunately we found that most of the agents were out of money so I went on the next day and the agents still did not have money. It was on the third day that I was finally able to withdraw my money. I was very happy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Right now, I am just happy that alot of my problems and troubles have now been sorted. The major issue I had apart from food was a dilapidated house. My family and I are now just waiting for the rainy season to pass so we can now begin building our house.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
As soon as I received the money, I went and bought 20 iron sheets for my house. I also bought a mattress for the house which are things that I really wanted. During the time we received the transfer, hunger/famine was looming so I also used the transfer to buy 5 bags of maize and the remaining money, I bought fertilizer.
