How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from before because I managed to buy a chaff cutter, meaning my life became easier in making feeds for my cows. My daily income has also increased due to increase in productivity of milk.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I'm a dairy farmer and my intention is to build a dairy unit so that I establish a proper zero grazing that will enable me to have high productivity and to also plant feeds for them.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that after I received the transfer my life has changed drastically for the better. I'm a dairy farmer and I depend on milk production. Since then I've had an increase in milk production because I bought 3 dairy cows. I can comfortably manage to support my family financially.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months to be better because I'm targeting 60 liters of milk per day which will average at least ksh. 60,000 per month. This will sustain my project and my family as well.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My life has changed now because I have hope for a better future . We will have more cattle which will give us more milk for sale hence more income. This is the biggest difference for me; I have optimism.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to have good financial muscle from sale of milk. I have set a sales target of 30 litres of milk per day in the next six months. This will translate to a good income end-month. The people that we sell the milk to give us a better price per litre if we sell it in bulk - 40 KES for 30 litres or more (35 KES for less than 30). They normally come for milk collection in our homes because the roads are not so bad in our village so a pickup track comes to collect it. This is my expectation for coming six months; with this plan I will be making at least 30000 KES per month which is a good income.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different because I see big changes in the near future. I am happy and quite excited too. I never thought we will get funds as the ones Give Directly is sending us. So now I am so organized in life with clear plans on how to have a better life because of the transfers.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
Since I am so accustomed to livestock rearing, I plan to focus on this and make it grow so as to get more income. It is not a new goal but I believe it is a good one.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer to buy a dairy cow
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am proudest of is my cattle rearing project, this makes me proud when I see the number of cattle increasing in my farm.
