What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
I see this transfer changing our lives completely and indeed we shall live good life. Therefore, I plan to buy a dairy cow worth USD526 that will enable us have good diet since we shall be in position to milk and also make daily income from sales of milk that will be arrived at everyday. I also choose to go in for onions cultivation project which will cost me USD394 right from hiring land, seeds, pesticides, labor and other things required to a good harvest so that I can make good sales to raise money for care and meeting school requirements for my children in agood school to enable them perform well. Since my children are living bad life, I plan to buy them mattresses, school uniform, clothes, shoes, beds and blankets which will cost USD184. I also plan to use the balance of USD736 to start up a simple retail shop which will help me earn some money for meeting basic needs and making savings for handling emergencies and more investments when money accumulates.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Despite the fact I go through hardships to keep my family going. I felt very happy when I harvested beans and maize which was used for domestic use and also sold some to earn little income that helped me clear school requirements for school going children which enabled them study for a full term without any disruptions.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest challenge I face currently a single mother is inability to raise school fees for my children which has kept them attend school irregularly hence registering poor performance in class. I also have a problem of finding food my children where I go dig for people in order to get some little money to cater food and other basic needs.
