How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, I have food to eat as I have poultry that I can sell to earn income for my family. I also have extra cash that I can dedicate to other projects besides my salary. I am able to hire manpower to work on my farms which helps in increased harvests which we can sell to get more income which helps in improving our lifestyles. We can sell the surplus ones to cater to our needs and we can also consume some to nourish our health.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a new goal of saving to buy livestock for rearing to help the family be secure financially.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the fact that I was able to venture into poultry farming to help in the generation of income for my family. With the transfers, I was able to buy poultry to jumpstart the business and now it has blossomed to a full-time project which generates income daily and also provides food for the family. We can sell the poultry when there is the need in order to get the income and we also consume eggs and the chicken to nourish us.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to have bought more livestock for rearing as financial security for my family. The livestock will help raise income for my family which in turn can help in paying school fees for the children, buy them food and also clothes to put on their backs thus the improvement in living standards.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it was four months ago because by then I used to face a lot of financial constraints and at times paying my bills used to be an uphill task. Every time I got the monthly transfers from Give Directly, I invested almost the entire amount in the purchase and maintenance of the brood of chicken. However, today things are different because I am now reaping the fruits of my hard work and sacrifice.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a plan of selling a few more birds so that I can get enough money which I will use to buy a cow worth between 14000 KES and 17000 KES. Definitely, the cow will be providing milk so that means I will not be buying milk from the local vendors. I also want to buy an ox which will help a great deal in terms of land cultivation.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I used the transfers to invest in a project where I decided to keep a brood of chicken with the main aim being to breed them and eventually sell them when they are fully mature and ready for sale. This month alone I sold close to ten birds that fetched me a whopping 11000 KES. If this trend continues into the future, I am sure I will be able to sustain myself even post GD transfers period.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to have a lot of changes in my life withoin the next six months because for one the number of birds I have currently will have increased significantly because they keep on laying eggs every now and then. It, therefore, means that I will have the chance of selling them out anytime I feel like I need some urgent money to sort out my financial needs. Secondly, I want to buy two oxen which I will be using to cultivate my land, and the only way in which I can get the cows is through the sale of these birds.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Life is different because for one i have been able to buy food for the family more comfortably without straining so much like I used to do in the recent past. Apart from that, the number of birds that I owned in the last four months is not the same with the numbers that i have today.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to save enough cash within the coming months so that I can construct a new toilet latrine where I will be going to relive myself when pressed with a nature call. Right now, I do not have one of my own so I ma forced to share my neighbors facility, something that at times is so embarrassing.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life is that I have been buying chicken every month and today i can be proud to say that i own more than 30 birds that I have purchased using the monthly transfers from GD. The main reason for starting this project is because I know that very soon the transfers will come to an end , so for me I will still have this project to rely on as a source of income going into the future
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
The final project I want to carry out is buying sheep that will eventually give birth after a period of close to three months. Eventually when the numbers will have grown, I will sell out part of the flock and buy cows that will generate milk so that I will not have to be buying milk every single morning like I do currently.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I would not have had the opportunity to start the project that I already launched within the last four months. I am able to sell my chicken whenever I need urgent cash which makes me financially stable so that I do not have to only rely on my salary as a source of income.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a goal of increasing the size of chicken stock in the next few months so that the number can increase significantly in the near future. Once the numbers get to where I want it to be, I will sell out some of the chicks and use the proceeds to buy a number of sheep that will be a source of additional money when I eventually decide to sell them out.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I started chicken rearing project at home, something that I have always wanted to do but I have never been able to accomplish because of has been desiring to over the past years but financial challenges.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I want to buy a few sheep that I will rear within the compound and probably earn some money in return when the numbers increase in the future.
