What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on repaying a loan that I had in our savings group, invested some amount in my business which is doing well and built a kitchen to have a separate cooking place. I also plastered my house and used most of the transfer on paying fees for my daughter who has just joined high school to proceed with her education.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that, I no longer borrow money from my friends because I managed to boost my business hence getting more income that I use for my daily upkeep. I also never imagined that my daughter would go to high school but right now she is in school and I am hopeful for a brighter future through her education.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did a good job by uplifting the living standards of the poor people in our village through issuing unconditional cash transfer.

I spent my second transfer on renovating my house since it was almost swept away by flood, I also paid my children school fee and bought food for my family.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that now I have a precious house that accommodate me and my family together with my visitors comfortable.

I spent the first transfer on paying for my child's medication worth 1500 KES, paid school fee of 1500 KES for my child in primary school, bought a mattress of 3500 KES, paid a loan of 2000 KES and used the rest of the money on food.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I'm planning to spend my upcoming transfer on building a house because my current house is almost falling. I also do not have chairs in my house so I'm planning to buy a few furniture after building a house.
