How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am Salia K Kamara and I lived in Maloma. Before I could start receiving my transfer, it has been my dream to build a house in Monrovia for my family but the land I was planning to develop is a family's property, therefore, my wife and I could not undertake the project because of other family issues. However, with the help of GiveDirectly's transfer, I was able to get land in Monrovia and we are planning to start our house project at the soonest time. Thank you, GiveDitectly for the support.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I was doing tailoring job but it couldn't maintain my family and the business my wife was doing, the money was used on food and other things. Because of that, her business collapsed. Our children are not in school because we don't have money to pay their fees. I burn coal to sustain my family. If I receive this money I will put my wife back into business and make a large farm.
What is the happiest part of your day?
When I stopped the tailoring job, I started burning coal to sustained my family but it was not enough to send my children to school and start a business for my wife. What brought me joy was when my uncle came to visit us, he saw my condition and give me his motorbike to be riding and cater to my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My wife business collapse and the tailoring job I was doing couldn't maintain my family. My children are out of school because, I do not have money to pay their fees and the coal I burned, I give it out to people and they pay me after (2) weeks. Getting money to pay my children school fees and starting a business for my wife is my major challenge now.
