What did you spend your third transfer on?
When I received my third transfer, I cleared all the debts I had in my life. The debts had been rendering me a sleepless night and therefore when Give Directly acted, I felt appreciative, relieved and happy.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer because, I was able to clear all my outstanding debts and currently, I live a stress-free kind of life. Besides, I have felt the impacts of Give Directly as a farmer growing rice, I was able to expand my farms and this has really improved my income.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my own opinion, what Give Directly did well was sending us money directly and this really curbed us from security issues. However, Give Directly never did it well by registering only one recipient in a household. It would be good they register at least two recipients and more.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to pay school fees for my son in secondary school.I spent 18000 KES on this. I also spent 10,000 KES of part of the transfer to start growing vegetables that gives some Income to sustain my family. I bought PVC pipes for irrigating my vegetable farm too .
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that I could not yield more in farm for lack of Irrigation pipes but now I able to. I am so happy.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
First, we would like to spend part of this money to buy water pump, pipes, water tank and vegetable seeds to expand our horticulture farming. Secondly, we intend to use another part to pay school fees for our children. One is joining form one next year and another one is in class three. Lastly, we intend to use the remaining amount to boost our stock in our small canteen.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement am proudest of is having been able to provide for the basic needs of the orphans am living with since the year 2006.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced is lack of farm inputs and equipment since I have to hire them and getting money has been a problem.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evenings when I am in my canteen selling commodities to the villagers, because that is when many of them come.
