What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer to buy two cattle for rearing and also I can sell to get money for school fees when , I bought household furniture because I was borrowing seats whenever I had guests. The remaining amount, I spent to buy two sacks of maize for consumption and also a sheep for rearing.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If I would not have received the money, I would not have bought livestock which I have now and this makes me very happy.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly sends money directly to recipients and also GD has brought alot of developments in the community through cash transfers which enabled recipients to build houses and send their children to school. GiveDirectly should reconsider visiting those who were not found at the initial visit.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on dry maize grain (3,500 KES),a sheep 4,000 KES and the rest on clothes for my family.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my money I felt greatly delighted since it would relieve me from some of my daily expenses (dry maize grain) and enable me to pool(save) an equivalent amount daily for some time for a different need..In addition the sheep I was to buy would be a ''saving'' that I could sell in the near future for additional school fee money for my child.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Our first plan is to use part of the transfer to build a bigger house with a metal roof, because this one leaks, when it's raining. Secondly, we intend to use another part of the transfer to start a small retail shop, where we would sell commodities to the villagers for an income. Finally, we plan to use the remaining amount to enrol for a mechanical course.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
Having bought two goats as an investment for our family, with savings from my motorcycle taxi, is the achievement we are very proud of.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Paying school levies for our three children in primary school, is the biggest hardship we have faced, due to inadequate income.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day, is in the evenings, when I am relaxing at home with my family after I have closed work.
