How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The completion of my house is something I am looking forward to in the next year or two. Moving into my own house will make me feel free and happy. I have a big heart in a good way; I've always wish to have my own privacy and I am glad that GiveDirectly granted me this opportunity to build myself a house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly is doing well by giving me money to change my life. They have made me a happy person. I am having sound sleep most nights because of the money GiveDirectly is giving me. They have not done any bad.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I am keeping my money to pay the contractor to build my new house; I do not know how much the contractor will charge me yet. Depending on the balance from the contractor's payment, I will buy one bundle of zinc to add to my other materials for the house project. I want to have my own property as an achievement in my life, that's the reason I am building a house.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
In the coming year or two, I hope to complete my house project and move in it. Getting this house completed will save me a lot from stress, the stress of waking up from my sleep to attend to the rain eventhough I was living under a roof. I will find Total peace and happiness on e my house is completed.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well by sending me money to improve my life. They give me the choice to decide for myself and that is a good thing. They have done nothing wrong.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used all this month transfer on the processing of planks for the new house. I bought one bag of rice and assorted food items for the group that is sawing the planks. My current home is old and it leaks a lot during rainy season; that is the reason for which I am spending my money on building a new house with a zinc roof. I wouldn't have to line up all my dishes whenever it rains. I will sleep sound and have good dreams.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
As a single parent, I am paying rent in the house I am living in currently. The little money I make from the farming am engaging in is not sufficient to build a house of my own. With this in mind, if I am qualified to receive the cash transfer, I will build my own house which will help me be free from the burden of paying house rent.
What is the happiest part of your day?
On July 26, 2022, a friend of mine who lives in Harper city sent me a trouser suit for the Independence day celebration. This got me so much happy and joyous because I had no decent clothes on that day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
As I mentioned earlier that I am surviving through rice farming. The rice farm I made this year did not yield much because of the too much sunshine this gone farming season. This condition has caused a challenge of no food for my daughter and me.
