How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different because I have managed to see my dreams come true. I am building my house. This is something I did not expect to actually see happening and so I am very happy. I used to live in a shabby house but now will be able to live in a really good one.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
By giving us the money directly, Give Directly is changing our lives. We are able to decide on our own how to spend the money

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was a very emotional and exciting moment of my life. To receive such a huge sum of money with no strings attached is unheard of and incredible. I felt honoured.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I will now own a proper house with iron sheets because of this transfer. It is a great achievement in my life to have such a house as it has never happened in my life before and I never knew that I will ever own it.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Well, when I received this transfer from GiveDirectly, I did not hesitate to go to town and I bought iron sheets and Iam also moulding bricks. I would like to spend a lion's share of the transfer on building a proper house as my current house is in dilapidated state.
