Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very excited when i got the transfer message i couldn't believe it with my eyes since it is my first time being given such amount of money for free and by an organisation thank you so much Givedirectly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life will be owning that house that i have been wanting, and i know i will not suffer with hunger as i usually do because i have managed to secure a few bags of maize that will cover me till the end of this year.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I live in a poor house that looks like a kitchen, and i have been living in this house for a gpod number of years, when i received the transfer i thought of my porvety especially the poor house that i live in and i decided to build a house with the transfers. So i have bought bricks, iron sheet, wires, doors and W windows as house building materials though i haven't started with the actual house project, secondly i have invested in farming i bought 2 bags of fertiliser and five bags of maize for food.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am very excited to receive this money and i believe my dream of living in a better house will now be a reality. I have always wanted to own an iron sheet roofed house and Give Directly has made it a reality. I am very grateful for the money and my life will never be the same
What is the happiest part of your day?
I do not have a specific time which i would say it's the happiest part of the day as it varies depending on the situation. Some days I am happiest in the morning because i feel grateful to see a new day but some days I am not because I am always worried of what i was going to eat during the day
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship i have faced in my life is lack of enough food. I usually eat once a day so that the food i have can take me some more days. The main reason i do not have enough food is because i don't harvest much as fertilizer is very expensive. A single bag of fertilizer costs more than K20 000 and this is too much for me
