What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am successfully enrolled in to Give Directly's Cash transfer program, I want to use some of the money to establish a business. My husband and I earn living for ourselves and our family through minning activities that he is currently involved with but at times things can't be fine especially when minerals are scared. He goes on the Gold field to hustle for the children and my self but sometimes he comes back empty handed so that's why I told you that I want to use the money to make a business because I feel by doing so, I will be able to help him with food, whenever he's not successful from the minning ground.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Even though things aren't going well with us in our home in terms of finances, but one thing that has brought me joy was when my husband and I were able to renovate our house where we currently lived from a sticks house to a mud block house with zinc. The reason I was happy was, since he and myself became partner, (Husban and Wife) in 2008, things haven't been easy for us, we firstly built our house with sticks but as God could have it, we were able to finally complete renovating it in December, 2021 from a sticks house to a mud block house; this alone brought me joy, especially where we are faced with series of financial issues.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
There are series of challenges that my household is currently facing but the main one is the lack of money to keep us moving as a family. My husband get money for us through minning activities but sometimes getting Gold is difficult so him,he mostly comes home empty handed due to how scares minerals are these days. As the result of these and many more, we haven't been able to cater to ourchildren education, least to mention of providing their needs as children.
